Have you ever thought that you could offer a Novo Futuro child / young person his/her birthday present, new clothes, English or computer classes, swimming or judo lessons... And be a Godfather/Godmother Benefactor for 750 euros/per child/per year.
ˇ They may be individual people (or groups of friends, workmates or relatives or even companies)- For example, if a group of 10 friends, workmates or relatives want to support a child it will only be 75 euros each.
ˇ This support is strictly financial since, it is our intention to maintain the Children’s/Young People’s privacy.
ˇ Each godfather / godmother will receive a donation receipt, which may be deducted on IRC and / or IRS at the maximum rate (140%) according to the patronage law. …

The purpose of the Novo Futuro Association is to create homes capable of giving children/young people at risk special and individual attention, always keeping in mind their physical, psychological and social background.
On average, the number of requests to enter the Association’s homes amounts to 25 per month. In 2004, there were 55 children and young people between the ages of 7 to 21 years old living in the six Novo Futuro homes. In 2005, the Association is expecting to open 2 new homes, one in the area of Lisbon and the other one in the area of Oporto.
It is Novo Futuro’s philosophy, that the children only leave the association once they are independent, which on average, represents a minimum period of approximately 15 years with the Association. This involves a hard financial effort which must be sustained in a continuous and solid way.
Therefore, a new source of support was created:
“Godfather / Godmother Benefactor”: 750 euros/per child/per year
This aims at supporting each and every Child/Young Person individually in his/her everyday needs, namely: birthday gift, medicine, clothes, sports, culture and leisure.
This support is strictly financial since, it is our intention to maintain the Children’s/Young People’s privacy. However, the Godfather/Godmother may receive, if he/she wishes to, information three times a year regarding his/her godchild’s performance at school, his/her tastes and plans, as well as a Godfather/Godmother Benefactor diploma.
This type of support does not create any ties to the Association, you may choose to be a godfather or godmother for just one year, or you may even change your godchild from one year to another.
Each godfather / godmother will receive a donation receipt, which may be deducted on IRC and / or IRS at the maximum rate (140%) according to the patronage law. As far as groups are concerned, a receipt will be issued individually over each separate donation and there will be a diploma for the whole group.
